| Β | As we step into this new month, Iβm moved by the promise of fresh beginningsβa space where healing isnβt just possible, but expected. In June, we are invited to lay down the weight of old hurts and breathe in the freedom of a new dawn. May this month remind you that hope is not distant, and that restoration can unfold gently, at a pace that honors your healing. As always, we at Mending The Scarred walk beside you with compassion and purpose, committed to helping hearts heal and lives rise into wholeness. | | Β |

I Donβt Live There AnymoreβA New Address for Your Heart |
| Your past has no right to your future.
Your past has no claim on the life God is shaping in you now. It may have followed you for years, whispering its old lines, trying to convince you that youβre still the same person who walked through those painful chaptersβbut that is no longer your address, and it is no longer your identity.
Picture this: youβre stepping across the threshold of a new homeβa place that is permanent, secure, and safe. Thereβs warmth here. Light. Space to breathe. Space to heal. Space to become. And any time those dark, discouraging memories rise up and try to drag you back, you can stop and say with a steady, growing conviction: βI donβt live there anymore.β
Because now, youβre filling your mind with thoughts that are whole, strong, and life-givingβthoughts rooted in something unshakeable. Scripture describes Godβs promises as pure, βlike silver refined in a furnace, purified seven times overβ (Psalm 12:6). In other words: flawless. Steady. Safe to build your life on.
So step into His Word like youβre stepping into your true homeβyour new reality. Make a deep, settled choice to dwell there, to let it shape how you think, how you see yourself, and how you move forward.
And this new dwelling isnβt just about creating physical distance from toxic people or harmful patterns. Itβs about allowing your heart and mind to settle into a place where truth, hope, and dignity finally get the last word.
The waves of the old life may still try to roll in. They might surge unexpectedly, trying to pull you back with their familiar force. But now, imagine those waves meeting a solid Rockβpowerful, steady, immovable. Watch them crash, shatter, and scatter with a great splashβ¦ and then fade into quiet. Peaceful. Powerless. Another small victory in the story of your becoming.
So keep stepping deeper into this new homeβthis place of truth, healing, and strength. Immerse yourself in words that lift you instead of crush youβ¦ that rebuild instead of strip awayβ¦ that remind you who you are becoming.
Your future is not a continuation of your past. It is a brand-new chapterβ and you get to choose where you live now.

Digital Seeds, Lasting ImpactβThe Ministry Behind the Posts
In a world where scrolling is easy and information moves fast, our online spaces have become steady points of connection, guidance, and encouragement.
Every update shared through our Instagram and Facebook pages serves a clear purposeβto keep our community informed, supported, and aware of opportunities for healing, growth, and gathering. Sometimes, itβs simply the right message appearing at the right moment.
These platforms are where youβll find meeting announcements, event details, uplifting reminders, and timely updates that help you stay connected to all that God is doing through Mending The Scarred. For many, theyβre a quick and accessible way to stay updated, see whatβs coming up, and remain connected throughout the week.
What may look like a simple post is often a doorway into community, restoration, and hope.
Behind this steady stream of thoughtful communication are two faithful servants working quietly and consistently: Ahisha and Doreen. With care and intentionality, they steward these pages so that every post is clear, timely, and aligned with our mission. Their work may happen behind the scenes, but its impact reaches far beyond the screen. | | Β |

| In alphabetical order, from left to right: Ahisha, and Doreen. All photos are shared with permission. Each woman pictured is either a healed survivor who is no longer in danger, or a volunteer supporting the cause. | | Β | If you've ever found the information you needed at just the right moment, discovered an event you didn't want to miss, of felt encouraged by something you read, you've already experienced the fruit of their dedication.
What many may not realize is that social media ministry if real ministry. A single post can interrupt someone's discouragement. A verse can steady a trembling heart. A caption can remind a survivor they are not alone.
Today, we pause with gratitude and appreciation for Ahisha and Doreen, whose faithful service helps ensure that no update, opportunity, or word of encouragement goes unseen. Their quiet dedication is helping mend scars in hearts they may never meet in person.
We invite you to stay connected with us thereβnot just to follow, but to stay informed, engaged, and encouraged as we continue walking this journey together.
(And when you visit our Facebook page, you may notice a small β2β at the end of our name. Itβs simply part of our current page address while another account is being resolvedβbut youβre in the right place.)

| | Β | Β | Β | | Β | Β | Β | | Β | A Gentle Invitation to Serve If you have experienceβor a growing interestβin stewarding social media with intentionality, creativity, and care, we would love to connect with you.
Our online platforms are meaningful extensions of our ministry, and weβre always grateful for women who feel called to serve in this area with wisdom, excellence, and a heart for thoughtful communication.
If this resonates with your heart, we welcome you to reach out and start a conversation.

Healing Together: Finding Strength in Community
One Calendar, Many Ways to Connect
Gathering in person brings a special kind of strengthβsharing a meal, exchanging stories, and finding comfort in each otherβs presence. These moments create spaces where women can learn, support one another, and form genuine connections that last well beyond the meeting.
Alongside our in-person gatherings, our weekly online prayer group offers a quiet, welcoming space to grow in faith, share encouragement, and stay connectedβright from home, no matter what season of life youβre in. | | Β |

S.H.A.P.E.
Our next S.H.A.P.E. class is drawing closer, and we couldnβt be more excited. Starting in August 2026, this 14-week guided experience meets once a week via Zoom for a purposeful one-hour session.
Itβs an intentional space for women to pause, reflect, and discover how God has lovingly and intentionally crafted them for the calling ahead.
Begin holding space on your calendar for August. Weβll share the exact date and time as we approach the month, and we look forward to walking this meaningful journey with you. |

| Β | Β | Β | | Β | Connections in Motion: One Heart, Many Gatherings
Across all our Mending The Scarred chapters, women are coming together each month to reflect, learn, and grow in community.
Every gathering has its own unique rhythm but all are marked by warmth, encouragement, and the shared pursuit of healing.
Whether youβre in Orlando, Jacksonville, or part of our Spanish-speaking community, youβll find the same meaningful theme explored in a way that fits the heart of each group. Each chapter provides its own flyer with simple, clear meeting details so you can easily find the gathering that feels right for you.
If you prefer to learn and connect in Spanish, our dedicated Spanish chapter walks through each theme fully in Spanish while offering the same hope-filled journey.
Different cities. Different styles. One movement of women stepping forward togetherβtoward healing, faith, and deeper connection.
Weβd love for you to experience it with us. | Β | | Β | Β | Β |
| This Monthβs Topic: When Fear Loses Its Grip
What if the fears youβve learned to live with were never meant to lead you? Fear often doesnβt arrive loudlyβit slips in quietly, disguised as caution, control, overthinking, or the need to stay guarded. Over time, what once felt protective can begin shaping how we respond, decide, and even how we see ourselves and God. Without noticing, fear can start speaking first, influencing choices before truth is heard.
Many donβt realize how much space fear has taken until they pause long enough to recognize its voiceβself-doubt, hesitation, or the sense that stepping forward isnβt safe. Yet fear was never meant to be our guide. It may try to steer, but it was never given authority to lead.
This month, weβre slowing down to gently notice where fear may have taken root and what begins to change when it no longer has the loudest voice. Because when fear loosens its grip, clarity grows, peace returns, and courage awakens. Often, we discover that truth has been waiting patiently all along, ready to remind us who we are and how much freedom is possible when fear is no longer in charge.

Together, We Can Break the Cycle of Trauma | At Mending The Scarred, we believe every woman deserves the chance to heal, rebuild, and thrive after trauma.
Many women survivors of domestic violence and other hardships face overwhelming challengesβhomelessness, financial instability, and emotional wounds that feel impossible to heal alone. Thatβs where we step in. | We provide real, life-changing support to women in need, offering counseling, job assistance, emergency aid, food, clothing, medical care, and access to education. But we donβt stop thereβweβre working toward a secure, transitional housing program in Central Florida, giving survivors a stable place to stay while they rebuild their lives.
This mission isnβt just about meeting basic needsβitβs about empowerment. We want women to move beyond survival, to become confident, self-sufficient, and ready to build a bright future.
But we canβt do this alone. Your supportβwhether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the wordβcan change lives. Together, we can provide a fresh start for women who need it most.
