Upcoming Highlights
Across Orlando, Casselberry, Jacksonville, and our Spanish-speaking community, Mending The Scarred is united through one shared monthly theme across four chapters.
Each chapter brings its own rhythm, personality, and cultural expression—yet the heart of the message remains beautifully aligned.
Every chapter shares its own flyer with specific dates, times, and locations, making it easy to connect wherever you are. Our Spanish chapter walks through the same theme entirely in Spanish.
Four chapters. Different voices. One shared invitation—to reflect, learn, and grow together through Scripture, conversation, and lived experience.

This Month's Topic: When Fear Loses Its Grip
What if the fears you’ve learned to live with were never meant to lead you?
Fear often doesn’t arrive loudly—it slips in quietly, disguised as caution, control, overthinking, or the need to stay guarded. Over time, what once felt protective can begin shaping how we respond, decide, and even how we see ourselves and God. Without noticing, fear can start speaking first, influencing choices before truth is heard.
Many don’t realize how much space fear has taken until they pause long enough to recognize its voice—self-doubt, hesitation, or the sense that stepping forward isn’t safe. Yet fear was never meant to be our guide. It may try to steer, but it was never given authority to lead.
This month, we’re slowing down to gently notice where fear may have taken root and what begins to change when it no longer has the loudest voice. Because when fear loosens its grip, clarity grows, peace returns, and courage awakens. Often, we discover that truth has been waiting patiently all along, ready to remind us who we are and how much freedom is possible when fear is no longer in charge.

Honoring Rest, Renewal, and the Work That Continues Ahead
During the month of July, Mending The Scarred will be taking a short pause as many of our volunteers step away for rest, travel, and time with family.
As a result, our programs and communications will be temporarily unavailable throughout the month. This pause allows our team to be refreshed and renewed so we can continue serving with care and excellence.
We’ll be back in August, ready to resume our regular activities and walk alongside survivors as usual.
Thank you for your understanding, your continued prayers, and your unwavering support.
We look forward to reconnecting soon.
