Healing What Shame Hides
A Day to Begin Seeing Yourself Differently
Sometimes, painful experiences leave behind feelings we carry long after the moments themselves have passed. Shame can shape how we see ourselves, what we believe about our worth, and what we think is possible for our future.
Join Mending The Scarred for a day set apart for women to explore the impact of shame, find encouragement through shared understanding, and discover how healing can begin to change the way they see themselves.
You don't have to have everything figured out to take a step forward. Come ready to pause, reflect, and open your heart to a new perspective.
What to Expect
A day of worship, reflection, and hope awaits you.
We'll begin with prayer and uplifting songs as we turn our hearts toward God and prepare for the day ahead. Our guest speaker, Carmen Alonso, will guide us through meaningful reflections on the struggles that can remain hidden beneath the surface, including shame, guilt, trauma, sexual sin, and sexual violation.
Together, we'll explore the path toward healing, holiness, and wholeness, discovering how God's truth can bring a renewed perspective to the way we see ourselves and move forward.
We'll pause to enjoy a delicious lunch and connect with other women before gathering again for more worship, continued teaching, and prayer.
Come as you are, with a heart open to what God may reveal, restore, and renew. This is an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life, make room for reflection, and take a meaningful step toward healing and a renewed sense of worth.
